DJ Zel, a young Ghanaian based in the UK, has carved out a niche with her DJ skills.
The 9-year-old is the youngest Disk Jockey (DJ) to play radio in the UK and currently she runs the UniAfrik program on GN Radio every Saturday.
She has already shown her talent on major stages in the UK, most recently at UnAfrik Live Jam in Leicester among others.
DJ Zel is thrilled to realize her dream of playing on the radio as she tries to entertain and make people happy.
“My dream is to make Ghana proud of my work. I started DJing because I wanted to entertain people and I like to make people happy all the time, “she told Yen’s news site in Ghana.
“Being the youngest DJ on the radio is a challenge. I am ready to take up the challenge and work hard to make my brand unique “ .
She also revealed her intention to work with DJ Switch, another Ghanaian star who is already a phenomenon in Ghana and beyond.
“I am proud of what DJ Switch is doing for Ghana, I look forward to meeting it, learning new things and making Ghana proud of us. I have plans with my management team, Zel Promotions, to work with DJ Switch, DJ Arch Jnr of South Africa, Success and Emmanuella of Nigeria, on an advocacy project to help reduce internal and violent behavior among young people from African communities here in the UK “ she added.
DJ Zel announced that she will be in Ghana in July as part of an advocacy initiative on environmental education and other charities.
