Meet Udoka, ‘The Lady Painter’, From Being A Banker To The Beautifier Of African Public Schools

While working at a bank two years ago, Udoka Uju stumbled upon an energy that would change whatever is left of her life forever: painting.

From that point forward she’s turned into an online most loved amongst youthful Nigerians – for exceeding expectations in a field ruled by men – and her brand, The Lady Painter, has been capable for beautifying a huge amount of homes and workplaces around Nigeria.

Late last two years, Udoka launched the Grab a brush, Colour a life project – which involves renovating and painting poorly-kept public schools within any local community in Nigeria, with the aim of giving the kids a more conducive learning environment.

Speaking on her website about what inspired the project, Udoka said:

“What led to this initiative is the desire to inspire lives positively using colors and patterns.

The goal of the each project is to beautify, giving our children a better learning experience, a colorful school environment and the opportunity to properly lead tomorrow.”

Besides beautifying the schools, the project also provides information to the teachers and students on everything from basic health safety to the dangers of climate change.
