Nishimwe, who represented Kigali in the preliminary phase of the selection, emerged victorious from the beauty pageant, succeeding Meghan Nimwiza, Miss Rwanda 2019.
The new beauty queen returned home with a brand new Suzuki Swift, a monthly salary of 800,000 rwf (about $ 880) and several other gifts from partners of Miss Rwanda.
She will also represent Rwanda in the Miss World 2020 beauty contest.
The first runner-up in the competition is Phiona Umwiza and the second Denise Mutesi.
The new Miss Rwanda like the previous and future queens will have at its disposal a beauty salon during all its reign; she will also be entitled to a dress for each occasion she wishes to attend.
