Why Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo and Uche Jombo Didn’t Attend Mercy Johnson’s Premiere

Mercy Johnson has a successful premiere for her self-produced and director movie over the weekend but many are wondering why many Nollywood stars especially the A-List actresses were absent at the premiere.

Controversial Nigerian actor Uche Maduagwu has spilled the beans on what led to the absence of the very known Nollywood superstars who did not attend the premiere to support their colleague and sister Mercy Johnson.

Uche Maduagwu revealed that most A-list actors in Nigeria are tribalistic hence they boycotted Mercy Johnson’s premiere.

He made this known on his Instagram page singling out Tacha and Mercy Johnson as the only few people who are not tribalistic.

Sighted on his page he wrote;

“@mercyjohnsonokojie and #Tacha are one of the very few celebrities that are not tribalistic when it comes to helping their fans… These two #beautiful role #models are not in the #whatsapp group of female celebrities who find it hard to help people who don’t belong to their own #tribe. I am the only popular #actor in #Nigeria that has ever gotten the attention of @chrissyteigen in #Hollywood, haters can #google it, so believe me when I tell you that our #movie industry is not growing fast as it should because a lot of actors are tribalistic.”
